HOW TO TAKE ACCURATE PICTURES

when sending pictures of your hair, before or after your booking, Please have someone take them for you as you will be needing to send a few to us on line via our email or mobile number at the top of home page. We require for a more clarify pictures you send quality pictures outside your house in the natural sunlight not under a shield or in house light as this will alter the clarity of your pictures. Please refer to the illustrated pictures at the end of the page.

How many grams is your hair extensions

We provide 1 gram hair double drawn thick from top to bottom. Hair is cuticle correct comes in his generic origin and runs in same direction.

how i know if its real Virgin hair/russian hair?
​
If it is true virgin hair, it should have no chemicals at all. If it melts slowly into a ball rather than burning, smells like elastic and produces dark smoke, it isn't human hair. Take a single strand of the hair extension run your first and second finger through it if it feel smooth and fine is synthetic hair because synthetic are smooth when you feel them, do the same procedure again if the single strands feels rough its real Virgin hair which indicates that its not been chemical or over processed. You can do a sniff test to see if you can distinguish the synthetic hair or real human hair.

HOW LONG DO HAIR EXTENSIONS NORMALLY LASTS?
When it comes to how long hair extensions last it varies from method to method. At The Extensionist we offer many methods to suit your needs. We offer everything from temporary options such as clip-ins to more lasting methods that can last 2-4 months in the hair. However, as we only work with the Russian hair the hair itself can be re-used many more times and can lasts over a year if cared for properly. HOW DIFFICULT IS TO TAKE CARE OF MY NEW HAIR EXTENSIONS?
We offer all of the most popular methods on the market including micro-rings, Flat Tape, Tape in and clip-in extensions. You can learn more about the various methods in our hair guide. We only use the finest 100% human hair which means you can treat it just like your own. However, as the hair does not get all the nutrients from your scalp there are various things we recommend in order to make them look as great as possible for longer. WHICH TYPE OF HAIR EXTENSIONS METHODS DO YOU OFFER?
We recommend that you have hair that is at least 2 inches long at the shortest bits in order for it to look as natural as possible. If your hair is shorter than this and you are still interested in hair extensions please contact us for a consultation and we can see what we can do.

WILL PEOPLE BE ABLE TO TELL THAT I AM WEARING HAIR EXTENSIONS?
We pay close attention to make your hair extensions as discreet as possible. By leaving a periphery around your head we ensure there is enough hair to cover your extensions, even when worn up. Various methods can be more visible than others if not cared for properly. The right method for your hair ensures they are not visible
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO ADD HAIR EXTENSIONS TO MY HAIR?
The length of time it takes to add extensions depends on the amount and method chosen. It can take anywhere from 1 hour for tape extensions to 4 hours for a full head of cold fusion bonded hair extensions. Learn more about it in our handy hair guide.
WILL HAIR EXTENSIONS DAMAGE MY HAIR?
This is a very commonly asked question. Due to sensationalism in media, we are led to believe hair extensions can severely damage your natural hair. The truth is if hair extensions are applied correctly by an experienced technician it should not damage your hair at all and your natural hair will grow even longer. The damage can come from you not caring for them correctly, leaving them in too long and not following the after care guidelines.
IS IT EXPENSIVE TO GET EXTENSIONS?
We never claim to be the cheapest but we do however offer many options to suit every budget. This can be discussed during your FREE consultation. But our hair extensions can last up to a year with the correct maintenance and aftercare which means the overall costs are kept down.
HOW ARE HAIR EXTENSIONS REMOVED?

Again this depends on the method you choose. The micro-ring method simply involves clamping the ring until it opens and gently sliding down off your own hair. The fusion methods are removed by applying a solution to the bonds that gently break them down until they can be crushed and combed out. Tape method is removed by spraying a remover on them and gently combing the tape out. All our extensionists are experts at removal ensuring no damage will be made to your natural hair
SHOULD I GIVE MY HAIR A REST IN BETWEEN HAIR EXTENSION SETS?
There is no need to give your hair rest in between hair extension sets if they are expertly applied and removed. There should be no damage to your own hair underneath as it has continued to grow underneath the extensions. Most people prefer to have their extensions removed and fitted on the same day to keep their amazing long haired look!
